Naptime

Tyler & Ainsley share a bedroom, however, the past few months when naptime came around the twins throught it must be partytime. They would often stay awake for 2 hours (my required rest period for them) talking and laughing. So, since Christmas I have put one of them in an extra room in a pack & play to nap. This works SO much better. They both nap now.

Tyler has always been a good napper (once he falls asleep). We now have a naptime wakeup routine. At 4pm I open the door to his room, at 4:15pm I turn off his music, and then at 4:30pm I go in and pick him up and hold him until he wakes up or I'll send Ainsley up to wake him. I can tell Ainsley go up and wake Tyler up, and she will crawl up the stairs and go into his room and say 'Hi Ty, Hi Ty'. (He usually likes it better when I wake him up.)

Ainsley usually wakes up from her naptime around 3pm...so we have a lot of playtime together before Tyler wakes up. Yesterday she spent some of that time playing Wii with Auma.

Tyler wakes up first in the morning. So morning are our playtime together. This morning he grabbed Poppa to read him a book. Both kids LOVE to read books. They will walk up to you (or back up into your lap), hand you the book, and say 'okay, okay, okay'. We are trying to teach them to say, 'Will you please read me this book?'
