During Auma & Poppa's visit we all went to explore Fort Pickens out on Pensacola Beach.
Fort Pickens in a 'confusing jumble of fortifications' with construction starting in 1829 and additions continuing to World War II bunkers in the dunes. 'This island helped control the entrance to Pensacola's deepwater harbor and Navy yard. Artilleryman held deafening practice drills for sea attacks that never came.'
Tyler wore Poppa's hat for most of our visit to the fort.
Which left Poppa to wear Tyler's hat...
Tyler LOVED exploring these tunnels that were just his height.
Ainsley enjoyed the exploring too.
