For Tyler & Ainsley's 3rd Birthday party this weekend we had a Dora & Diego Fiesta. But before the party there was much work to be done by me for their Dora & Diego cakes.
On Monday I started making the icing. I made 3 recipes which equals 6 pounds of sugar...but I did have a bunch of leftover icing. Ainsley was my 'helper'.
This is all the icing. 15 colors for both cakes and I tinted more while I decorated the cakes.
This is the chocolate Dora cake with a crumb coat layer. I used formed cake pans for both cakes.
Here is the white Diego before any icing. He had a lot more detail.
