Chris & I gave Tyler & Ainsley their very first tricycles for their 2nd Birthday. I gave them to them after naptime on their birthday and we took them for a trial run down the sidewalk with Gigi, Grandpa, and their dog Rowdy.
Ainsley was very interested and learned to use the bell on the trike. She wasn't too into pedaling. She preferred to rest her feet on the middle bar and be pushed.
Tyler tried pedaling several times on his own...I guess it seemed more natural to him. But his feet kept sliding off of the pedals, so Grandpa made some straps for both of the trikes to help keep their feet on to learn to pedal. (Grandpa also made the trikes for me, since Daddy is away training. Thanks Grandpa! We miss you Daddy!!)
Ainsley likes to 'mother' Tyler. Here she is helping push him on his new trike.
Which of course left me to push an empty tricycle.
Both Tyler & Ainsley really like their birthday present. I'm excited about seeing them learn to use it.
